As XDA Developpers points out, this dark mode especially helps to ease your eyes if you visit the social network in the middle of the night. In addition, the theme highlights the photos and videos posted by users. To enable the mode on Instagram, you must first enable the system-wide dark mode of Android 10 . For now, the beta seems to be reserved for smartphones already equipped with Android 10. Some Samsung smartphones equipped with One UI also seem compatible.
For now, we do not know when the dark mode will be deployed on the stable version of Instagram. To try to move from the dark side right now, there are two solutions. You can either sign up for Instagram’s beta program directly on the Google Play Store. You will then automatically receive all updates in beta.
